Brush Fire Sends Smoke Plume Above Jurupa Valley Wednesday | Banning, CA Patch

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire Department crews worked to contain a half-acre blaze along the Santa Ana River bottom Wednesday morning.

The brush fire began burning through grass and bamboo just off of Etiwanda Avenue and 66th Street in the river bottom area. It did not spread to or damage any structures, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.

The blaze's forward spread was stopped by 11:45 a.m. according to a Cal Fire spokesperson, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No firefighters were injured battling this fire, and it is not known as of this report if anyone else was injured.
